The Terra Nova floating production, storage, and offloading (FPSO) vessel, operated by Suncor Energy, arrived at the Peter Kiewit Infastructures (PKI) Cow Head facility in Marystown, NL on June 26, 2012.  The FPSO will be in PKI’s facility for 21 weeks as part of the Off Station Project to complete the Integrated Swivel Turnaround and other scheduled equipment upgrades.  Currently, there are over 350 trades people working on this job with the peak estimated to be around the 600 mark.

East Coast Catering (ECC) developed, commissioned, and mobilized a temporary kitchen and laundry facilities to the PKI site prior to the vessel arrival to service the shipyard with boxed lunches, laundry, and housekeeping services for the duration of the project.

ECC thanks its management and staff for an excellent job safely mobilizing the unit to the site and commencing service.  In addition, ECC’s presentation for a ‘Journey to Zero Forum’ - specifically targeting safety issues while the ship is docked - was well received by all in attendance. 

Furthermore, ECC thanks all members of the Terra Nova crew who have done a tremendous job adapting to the new work environment and for managing all changes safely and effectively.  Keep up the good work!
