Ted Howell appointed Chief Operating Officer

Mr. Patrick O’Callaghan, President & CEO of East Coast Catering Limited is pleased to announce the appointment of Mr. Ted Howell to the position of Chief Operating Officer of the company.

Ted comes to ECC with over twenty-five years experience in financial and operations management roles in the retail, hospitality, real estate and oil & gas sectors. He has previously served as CFO of a large retail and wholesale food operation and CEO of a diversified group with hotels throughout Atlantic Canada. Most recently, he served as President & CEO of Newfoundland Ocean Industries Association (NOIA).

As COO, Ted will be responsible for financial management, organizational effectiveness, client service, and overall operating results. He will also work closely with the executive management team on strategic planning and business development.

Ted has a strong history of community and industry service, serving as a director of St. John’s Board of Trade, St. John’s Sports and Entertainment Ltd., Destination St. John’s, Hospitality Newfoundland and Labrador, Hotel Association of Canada and many other local organizations and private companies.

He holds B. Comm. and MBA degrees from Memorial University of Newfoundland and is also a Chartered Accountant.
