ECC partners with Long Harbour Development Corporation

Mr. Patrick O’Callaghan, President & CEO of East Coast Catering Limited and Mr. Gary Keating, Chairman of Long Harbour Development Corporation, are pleased to announce the establishment of Long Harbour Catering Limited Partnership. The partnership will pursue business opportunities relating to accommodations, catering and related services for construction workers, employees and visitors involved in the development and operation of a commercial nickel processing plant near Long Harbour, Newfoundland and Labrador.

Vale Inco Newfoundland & Labrador Limited is constructing the commercial nickel processing plant to process concentrate produced at a mine and concentrator complex at Voisey’s Bay in northern Labrador.

Labrador Catering Limited Partnership (LCLP), a partnership between ECC and Innu Development Limited Partnership, currently provides accommodations and catering services at the mine and concentrator complex for a permanent workforce of over 300 persons. During the construction phase of the mine and concentrator, LCLP provided accommodations and catering services for a workforce of over 1,100 persons.
